- Downloading IBM Installation Manager
For latest IBM Installation Manager 1.7 from following link

Example :
$ mkdir -p /temp/InstallationManager - Extract the file to the Installation Manager directory using unzip command
Example :
$ unzip 1.7.0.0-Rational-IBMIM-LINUX-X86_64-20130828_2012.zip - Open a command prompt and navigate to the Installation Manager directory.
Example :
$ cd /temp/InstallationManager/1.7.0.0-Rational-IBMIM-LINUX-X86_64-20130828_2012/ - At a command prompt, run one of the following commands

- Select the license agreement and click on Next
- Select the Installation Manager Directory to be installed and click on Next
- Review the summary information and click on Install to begin installation
- Click on Restart Installation Manager on completion wizard
